A weekend at home

It may take a four hour long bus journey to travel from the nations capital, Cardiff, to the west coast of Wales but it’s all worth it to spend a bit of quality time at home. We have to be honest with you, Aberystwyth and it’s surrounding villages are hosts to the most B-E-A-utiful views. From coast to countryside it is genuinely difficult to put the camera away, and why would you want to? Everyone turns into an amateur photographer (whenever the sun makes an appearance) the sunsets and endless miles of green hills make for a great escape from the city. If you’re thinking we must just be really bias because it’s our home town then all we suggest you do is have a scroll of this weekend in pictures (it’s a pretty sight even if we do say so ourselves).

Lovely spot of tea and cake with the grandparents, these mini ice bun cakes were delicious.

We're fortunate enough to live just a short bike ride away from the beach. The weekend would not have been complete without a quick visit to the coastline.

One half of TurnerTurner excited to see the tide out, a little moment of joy.

To us there isn't a place like it. Llanrhystud beach looking mighty fine against the country hills. The sky was so blue, you can't beat a saturday afternoon like this.

It's a strange combination of countryside and seaside. Here's a picture of the sheep with their little lambs, just because.

If anyone is in need of a free blow-dry then the beach is the place to go, we came home with the effects of the sea breeze and volume in our hair (results not guaranteed).

Just look at the reflection in the sand. This image should come with a deep and meaningful message but ironically we don't have one so we'll let the picture do the talking..

In the words of the great Judy Garland as the iconic character Dorothy in the Wizards of Oz.. There's no place like home. (queue the cheese balls)
